Carbon capture and storage (CCS) is a significant technology for meeting global climate change targets by capturing, transporting and permanently geologically storing industrial carbon dioxide emissions. Australia is in the forefront of making CCS a technical and commercial reality.
National CCS Week, from 21 to 26 October 2012, is a biennial Australian-based event providing a focus for CCS as an essential part of the global greenhouse gas mitigation portfolio.
The major event of National CCS Week is the 2012 National CCS Conference, to be held Sunday to Tuesday, 21 –23 October, at the Burswood Entertainment Complex, Perth, Australia.
The National CCS Conference attracts high level policymakers, researchers, engineers, economists, environmental NGOs, community leaders and international investors.
